I was just wondering if you knew the project Drew was referring to in a interview ,where she said the movie she was set to do fell through - hence her decision to change her focus and direction into doing some soul searching and focusing on her life and giving movies a break, Thank god she made that choice or she may not have met Will or had two beautiful daughters!
Drew was rumored to be attached to many projects as director after Whip It came out. Our best guess is that the movie she was referring to was the screen adaption of the novel How to be Single. Back in March 2011, there was a casting call that was sent out for it with Drew listed as the director. The movie is now listed on IMDB with another director but Flower Films still producing.
Going back to Drew’s early post-rehab days! Actual stills (which are taken on set by a still photographer as the action happens and are not the same as screencaps contrary to popular confusion) from Far From Home and Sketch Artist are hard to come by, but we have a few. You can check out the links below for our tags for all 3 movies and watch for a photo set made just for you coming right up.
I would love to see some of your pictures from Mad Love. That movie is my absolute favorite from Drew. She is incredibly talented and I feel like this movie showcased it very well. Thank you!!
It’s definitely one of our all time favorites as well! For photos, you can check out our Mad Love tag here on Tumblr, as well as see our movie memorabilia on our website. One of our favorite pieces is the Japanese program, which contains lots of rare photos:
Please could you post the photoshoot where drew is in her bedroom in a tie dye t shirt? I think its from life mag , sorry I couldn't be anymore specific
Don’t worry, we know exactly what you’re talking about! The shoot was done by Mark Sennett for People magazine and used in their January 29, 1990 issue. The photo they chose to print is much more serious and less carefree than the adorable outtakes. We are posting some in a photo set for you coming right up!
According to Courtney, her and Drew have been friends for a long time (she said they met smoking a bathroom when Courtney was 18 and Drew was 9, I think that was a joke) but Drew is Frances' godmother so that would suggest they were already good friends when Frances born.
The bathroom thing is probably an fabrication, although it is possible, haha. However even when Drew started dating Eric, she & Courtney were not friends at first. There was some tension and Courtney didn’t have very nice things to say about it at the time. Drew herself was quoted as saying:
“I think we’re the kind of people who don’t feel like we need to try and be best friends. We just don’t mind each other’s presence, and sometimes I respect that as much as I do friendship.”
The relationship grew gradually and they probably didn’t become close until 1995/1996.
Sometimes the term “godparent” is used loosely or in a more honorary way. Steven Spielberg is Drew’s godfather but they didn’t meet until she was 6.
Since Drew was friends with Courtney Love in the 90s, did she know Kurt Cobain?
As far as we know, she did not. Drew didn’t start dating Eric (from Hole) until mid/late 1994 when she was filming Mad Love in Seattle. Kurt already had passed away (in April 94) by the time Drew became friends with Courtney.
Hi, I don't mean to bother you, but can you please share the link of your collection of Drew's photos?
Sorry, we keep our collection in a private Dropbox. If we did ever decide to share the entire thing online, it would be in galleries on our website. However we will always post requested photos so if there’s something specific you are looking for, ask away!
Spike & Drew have known each other since at least 1993, when he photographed her for his magazine Dirt. They were spotted together only 2 times in 2007 and happened to be kissing in one photo. No telling if it was a romantic smooch or just a hello/goodbye quick kiss. Drew never confirmed that anything went on between them. The ‘holiday’ photos you referred to are most likely from her trip to Hawaii where one of her male friends was misidentified by the media as Spike.
If we had to guess, we’d say they were friends who maybe went on a few dates together but nothing serious ever developed. The whole thing was totally blown out of proportion by the tabloids (shocker!).
Do you guys have any idea where I can find the true hollywood story episode about Drew? And your blog is amazing!!!
Unfortunately no, we haven’t been able to find it online. We’ve looked for it several times ourselves so that we could make screencaps of the rare photos used in the special. We both have it on VHS so it’s just one of the many, many pieces of footage we hope to someday share online. Thanks for the kind words!! ♥
Hey! What's up girls? :) Today I received the "signed" photo of Drew! I remember you wrote the address I should write to receive it, I wrote an email and today I received the photo. It's beautiful. And all thanks to you girls!
Sorry that we can’t be of help, but we don’t download or stream movies online. We wouldn’t even know where to start looking. We own almost all of Drew’s movies so that’s how we watch them. The DVD is available to purchase for cheap on Amazon.
Heyy got a question Where can i watch Cat's eye? I couldn t find it anywhere
We don’t believe it’s available to watch online. If you have Netflix’s DVD service, you can rent it from them. Also check your local library’s catalog as you may be able to borrow it through there. Otherwise you could just buy it on Amazon.
The main reason Drew emancipated herself was so that she could legally work as an adult. Her relationship with her mother was strained and she wanted to live on her own and be able to support herself. She was able to drop out of high school (a decision she seems to regret now) and work odd jobs while auditioning and attempting to revive her career.
15 and Getting Straight used to be a real rarity, but it’s currently available to watch in its entirety on YouTube! Enjoy!
Sorry if you've been asked this a lot but do you know what happened between Courtney Love and Drew?
This is a popular question, we should probably add it to our FAQ :)
We don’t know the details of what happened with their friendship. Courtney was at Drew’s 2001 wedding to Tom Green and that was the last we know of them being together. In 2007, Drew told Jane magazine that they hadn’t seen each other in awhile. We’d guess that maybe lifestyle differences just led to them growing apart.
We’ve been saving digital Drew photos for close to 15 years and have compiled them from literally hundreds of different sources. Our shared collection (which we share via Dropbox) currently has just under 30,000 files!
