Nope, that was her real hair in Poison Ivy. She did not cut it until filming had wrapped. She’s said that she was watching the movie Twenty-One and was inspired to cut her hair in a style like the lead actress Patsy Kensit. She was also gearing up for filming Guncrazy and wanted her character to come off as more awkward than sexy.
Depends on what you consider mainstream. Her first big studio movie after rehab was Bad Girls (1994). She co-headlined Mad Love (1995) for her biggest paycheck to date at that time & had a cameo in the blockbuster Batman Forever that same year. Scream (1996) was a huge success that did great things for her career, despite her small role. However it’s really The Wedding Singer (1998) that put her back on the A-list and made her a very bankable star!
Sorry in advance for this question haha , so there's a photograph of drew and her mom hugging from I think 1992 drew has on a mid black dress and has earlobe length blonde hair and I wanted to know what event this was ?
Based on your description, it sounds like you are talking about an exhibit for photographer Matthew Rolston in October 1991. Let us know if this isn’t what you were thinking of. Feel free to send a photo via our submit page!
Do you have that photoshoot Drew did as Marilyn Monroe w/o the magazine titles, sub titles, etc?
Unfortunately not! There were only 2 photos printed in the magazine (George, September 1996) and they are sadly the only 2 photos from this beautiful shoot by Mario Sorrenti that we have ever seen. We would go nuts to see outtakes or at least better versions of these photos.
Do you think Drew is pregnant again? In her recent pictures, she seems to have more "bump" than she was at the premiere of Blended, three weeks after giving birth. Her face is a little swollen too. What do you think? Another Barrymore-Kopelman? Maybe she's just losing weight after giving birth too slowly.
We don’t really like to publicly speculate about these type of private things, but you are not the first person to bring up that question. It’s been discussed quite a bit on our Facebook page. We honestly have no idea. In our opinion, it would seem very soon after the birth of Frankie. Her character in the movie she is currently filming (Miss You Already) is dealing with pregnancy, so it’s possible she hasn’t lost much baby weight in order to portray that? Only time will tell!
Did drew have any jobs when she was younger to support herself financially?
Great question! Yes, once Drew was emancipated from her parents at age 15, she lived on her own and worked a lot of odd jobs to support herself. She’s mentioned that she worked the door at one of Brent Bolthouse’s clubs as well as working at a video store. She was also employed at a coffee shop called The Living Room. The rest of her time was spent going on auditions and trying to make a comeback in Hollywood!
You guys have the best tumblr for Drew photos! Also, you have mentioned a few times now that you have interviews of Drew that you'd love to convert and post, is that right? And if so are they of Drew in the 90's? Are you still looking into posting them? Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words! We do have DOZENS of VHS tapes of Drew footage (with plenty from the 90s) and it’s definitely high on our “to do one day” list. However we still don’t have the capability to easily get the footage online. It would require converting each tape to DVD, and then burning and editing it from there. Sadly that takes way more time than we currently have. We really do hope to start this project sometime though, try to stick with us!
Hi there! You’re very welcome :) We do have plenty of candids from the early 90s. A lot of them are low quality but we put together a photo set for you of some fun ones that we will be posting in just a moment. If there’s anything more specific that you are looking for, let us know. Enjoy!
Wow could you please post the heart shaped collage from your Instagram on to here , it looks so rare
Here’s the photo from Instagram - and yes they are very rare! We purchased a set of 16 negatives from this mystery photo shoot. The Instagram post was just the tease - head to our site to see all of the images up close!
We’re not going to lie, we’ve had the same thoughts on the timing of it all! The last time Drew and Eric were pictured together as a couple was in April 1996 at the premiere of Primal Fear. Filming on Best Men was already underway 4 months later. Drew stated many times that it was love at first sight when she met Luke after they’d been attached to both Best Men and Home Fries. Whatever happened, it definitely seems to us that the window between both relationships was very tiny at best!
I was just wondering if you knew the project Drew was referring to in a interview ,where she said the movie she was set to do fell through - hence her decision to change her focus and direction into doing some soul searching and focusing on her life and giving movies a break, Thank god she made that choice or she may not have met Will or had two beautiful daughters!
Drew was rumored to be attached to many projects as director after Whip It came out. Our best guess is that the movie she was referring to was the screen adaption of the novel How to be Single. Back in March 2011, there was a casting call that was sent out for it with Drew listed as the director. The movie is now listed on IMDB with another director but Flower Films still producing.
Going back to Drew’s early post-rehab days! Actual stills (which are taken on set by a still photographer as the action happens and are not the same as screencaps contrary to popular confusion) from Far From Home and Sketch Artist are hard to come by, but we have a few. You can check out the links below for our tags for all 3 movies and watch for a photo set made just for you coming right up.
I would love to see some of your pictures from Mad Love. That movie is my absolute favorite from Drew. She is incredibly talented and I feel like this movie showcased it very well. Thank you!!
It’s definitely one of our all time favorites as well! For photos, you can check out our Mad Love tag here on Tumblr, as well as see our movie memorabilia on our website. One of our favorite pieces is the Japanese program, which contains lots of rare photos:
